Glorious evening for Hurling in Silverpark. Crokes performed relatively well in the first half and were 0-13 to 1-06 ahead by the short whistle. Given their level of dominance they might well have been even further ahead at this stage, had they taken more of their scoring opportunities.

Faughs upped their game in the second half and, with the benefit of a second goal, they eventually drew level. Crokes could still have closed out the match but for a continuing lack of accuracy in front of the posts. Indeed they might well have lost in the closing minutes were it not for an excellent point blank save by Crokes keeper Eoin Dalton.
