GREAT WIN FOR MINORS IN CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI
Body
The snow-capped Sugar Loaf provided a surreal backdrop to this mornings Minor Champ semi-final but there was only reality football on offer as Crokes powered past NaFianna with a super display. Leading for most of the game, including a 0-9 to 0-5 half-time advantage, the Kilmacud lads held on to win by 1 point (0-13 to 1-9). In truth, Crokes were always the better team and only a scrambled last-minute goal kept the hardy supporters in suspense as over 4 minutes of injury time were played out. A feature of the game was the performance of Ross McGowan who kept a close rein on Dublin minor colleague, Conor McHugh, in a most impressive performance. There were other excellent individual performances throughout the field in what was a great squad effort - well done lads!
The final against St. Sylvester is scheduled for Feb 3rd - one to watch out for!
