CONOR DEEGAN STEPS DOWN AS CROKES SENIOR MANAGER

Conor Deegan has today stepped down as manager of the Kilmacud Crokes senior football team, for business reasons.  Conor has been a very popular figure around the club since he joined back in the '90's.  Generous of spirit, a skilled coach, he has given his time and expertise to all areas of the club.

Although his departure comes towards the end of a trying season for the first team, his reputation in the club remains intact.  Sean Fox, Chairman of the Football Committee, wanted to take this opportunity to thank him for his efforts with the Senior team and everything he has contributed to the club over the years and looks forward to his return like any other former member who has made such a contribution.

Stepping down too are his Management team, Mick Leahy, Mick Jones, Declan Clancy and John Costello.  Sean pointed to the great club men who stood up to be counted in 2013 to try to take this club back to where it belongs in County finals and looked forward to their continued efforts!

The task now falls to the Football Committee to put a new management team in place to begin the preparation immediately for next year's League and Championship.
