Kilmacud Crokes v St Vincents

Sunday March 20th saw Kilmacud Crokes take on St Vincents in round 6 of the U15A football league. Silver Park was the venue and a good sized crowd turned up to watch this eagerly anticipated clash.

After a first half of good football Crokes went in at half time leading 1-04 to 0-03. From a Crokes perspective their defenders were on top and made it very difficult for Vincents to get into good scoring positions. The first 15 minutes of the second half saw both teams score 2 points and at that stage it was felt a Vincents goal would really set this game up for a rip roaring finish. However that goal never came and Crokes really upped their game in the final quarter and added 1-06 to finish the game off as comfortable winners. The fitness levels of the Crokes lads was very apparent as this game reached its conclusion. The boys have worked hard on the training ground and certainly got their reward in this game.

The result meant that Crokes had 4 wins in their first 6 league games and are a point behind table toppers Lucan. Next up for the Crokes lads is a trip to Skerries on Sunday April 10th.
