Report for week ending 16 dec 07
Week Ending 16th December 2007
A five point win over Crumlin at a cold crisp Pearse Park on Sunday 16th December 2007 assured the Crokes Minor “A” hurlers of at least a play off for the 2007 league title. It now remains to be seen if St Brigids win their remaining games to force a decider or if the league/championship double falls to the Kilmacud team without having to take the field again.
Playing with the wind Crokes led by a solitary point at half time. However a solid second half display saw them run out 1-12 to 1-7 winners in the end. Best for the winners were William McEvoy, Oran Turley, Conor Clinton, Niall Butler, Kevin O’Loughlin and Paul Collins
Team: B Mulligan, O Turley, R O’Carroll, C Carolan, R Walsh, W McEvoy, D McVeigh, C Clinton (0-4), K Dias, C O’Grady (0-1), E O’Byrne, S Murphy, K O’Loughlin (1-7), N Butler , K Noctor. Subs: P Collins for K Dias, B Halpin.
