Week Ending 4th May 2008
On Saturday evening the seniors lost their league game away to Crumlin in Pearse Park. The sides were level 0-10 each at half time but Crumlin took over in the second half and the longer the game went on the more assured looked their victory. Final score Crumlin 1-17 to 0-13.
On Sunday morning the minor A’s went down by a point, 3-9 to 2-11, to Oliver Plunketts/Eoghan Ruadh in Martin Savage Park while the minor B’s lost their league game to Ballyboden St Endas in Silverpark by eight points.
Monday saw three teams travelling. The under 11’s and under 12’s went to Clara Co Kilkenny where the former won 7-9 to 2-0 and the latter went down by eight points. Meanwhile the under 14’s went to Clarecastle, Co Clare where they just overcame the hosts after a good game. Many thanks to Clara and Clarecastle for the invitations and hospitality.
