Week ending 7 June 2008
The week ended on a high note for the intermediates with a 6-12 to 2- league win over St Judes in Silverpark on Saturday night. With an infusion of young blood this was an immediate bounce back from the teams championship defeat on Tuesday by Whitehall Colmcilles (4-18 to 2-8) in Cloghran.
Tuesday also had the senior hurlers entertain Ballyboden “B” in the league. The comfortable winning margin reflected Crokes dominance. For report see HERE
On Thursday the two junior teams were in championship action. The Junior B’s went down 3-10 to 1-13 away to Scoil Ui Chonaill. For report see HERE . The Junior C3’s received a walkover from St Peregrines.
Sunday saw the Junior B’s go down by seven points to Clontarf in Pairc de Burca in a Division 5 league clash.
Golf Classic
The Hurling Section Golf Classic will take place in the South County Golf Club on Thursday July 3. This is always a super day, great prizes. Team entry is €700. Under 7 League
The Under 7 league continues on Thursdays in the Paddock. Matches start at 18:30 and will finish by 19:00. All hurlers must bring their own hurley and helmet. There are a limited number of spare helmets available.
