Dublin Camogie Volunteer of the Year

We are delighted and proud to announce that John Maguire has been awarded the Dublin County
Board Volunteer of the Year for 2022.

John will receive his award from the Camogie Association at a special presentation in Croke Park in January.
John has been coaching in the club since 2007 and has been an integral part of the camogie committee for over 10 years.  He has worked tirelessly for the development and retention of players, and was hugely involved in the formation of our second minor team and our third and fourth adult teams.

He took over as chair of our All-Ireland Camogie 7s committee in 2019 and put in huge effort to keep
it running during COVID by organizing the innovative International Long Distance Virtual 7s in 2020
and 2021 and in 2022, he was the main driver in organizing the return of our normal camogie 7s
competition welcoming teams from all over Ireland and London.
