Death Notice Tommy Lyons Snr RIP

The Kilmacud Crokes GAA Club community is saddened to hear of the passing of a great life long Mayo man, Tommy Lyons Snr.  Tommy's immediate and extended family have lots of connections with Kilmacud Crokes over the years.  Chief among these is Tommy's son of the same first name, who played football for the club and  who went on and managed our senior footballers to their 1st Dublin Snr Football championship final win in 1992 and followed this with  the 1995 Kilmacud Crokes Senior Footballers winning their first All Ireland Club Championship Final win.  Tommy (Jnr) also sevred as club chairman for a period of time.  One of his other son's Padraig has also played football in the club,managed teams and daughter Mary has selflessly volunteered supporting events in the club over the years.  We send our collective, hearfelt condolences and sympathies to the extended Lyons family. Funeral Details below

Tommy Lyons, Deansgrange and formerly of The Colony, Killeen, Louisburgh, Co. Mayo on 20th July 2023 peacefully in St. Michael's Hospital Dún Laoghaire after a short illness surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Peggy and loving father of Richard, Padraig, Tommy, Mary, Martin, Mairead, Michelle and  the late Declan. Sadly missed by his wife, children, brothers Myles, Michael and sisters-in-law Maura and May, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces and nephews, extended family friends, neighbours and all who knew and loved him.

Reposing at Massey Bros. Funeral Home, Blackrock on Saturday, 22nd of July 2023, at 1.30pm to 4pm followed by removal to the Church of Perpetual Succour, Foxrock at 4:30pm. Funeral Mass on Monday, 24th of July, at 11am followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery, Shankill. For those who cannot attend Tommy’s funeral mass you may view it live by clicking here.
