The U15 camogie team played in a breathless Division 1 County Final against Naomh Bríd on Saturday, which finished all square, 4-6 to 2-12. Naomh Bríd started strongly and built a four-point lead before the Crokes girls registered their first point after 10 minutes. A goal quickly followed to level the game. Naomh Bríd then added two more points and a goal to go 5 points ahead, before Crokes struck for a second goal, which reduced the gap to 2 points. The first half finished with Crokes trailing 2-1 to 1-6. The Crokes girls regrouped at half time and came out of the blocks fast in the second period, registering two goals and two points without reply in the ten minutes after the restart. Naomh Bríd responded strongly and outscored Crokes over the next quarter hour, to reduce the Crokes lead to just 2 points with five minutes left on the clock. Then Naomh Bríd struck for a goal to nudge ahead by a point and set up an intense end-to-end finale. A frenetic 5 minutes followed, but neither team could register a score, until Crokes levelled the match in the 60th minute. A minute later Crokes added another point to take the lead with seconds on the clock. But a Naomh Bríd free sent the final to a replay with the last puck of the game.

The two teams will meet again in a replay on Saturday 18 November in Abbotstown (14:30 throw-in).
