Kilmacud Crokes is sad to hear of the passing of Joseph Byrne Snr. All three of Joseph's sons Joe, John and Peter all played in Kilmacud Crokes at underage and adult level in football and hurling.  John and Peter are current mentors with juvenile groups. His grandchildren include Fionn, Sean, James, Freddie, Rachel and Laura who are members of also. We offer our sincere condolences and sympathies to the extended Byrne family at this sad time. May he rest in peace. Funeral details below. 

Byrne, Joseph G., Stillorgan, Co. Dublin – 23rd November 2023 peacefully surrounded by his loving family and in the wonderful care of St Vincent’s Hospital.

Dearly beloved husband of Breda (née Drea), adored father of Bridgette, Maria, Joseph, Jacinta, John and Peter. Predeceased by his sister Maura and sadly missed by his brothers John, Michael, Declan and Peter, sons in law Bill and Jochen, daughters in law Joan, Niamh and Joan and cherished grandchildren, Sean, Eric, Emma, Fionn, Louis, Sarah, James, Freddie, Lucy, Rachel, Laura and Jack, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, friends and colleagues at Byrne Actuaries.

May he Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Massey Bros. Funeral Home, Newtownpark, A94 X308 on Monday 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday, 28th November, at 10am in Church of the Guardian Angels, Newtownpark Avenue, and burial thereafter to Shanganagh Cemetery, Shankill.
