Portroe win Beacon Hospital All Ireland 7s
Body
Portroe won their first Beacon Hospital All-Ireland Hurling 7s title in 20 years on August 17th.
Since 1999, the men from Tipperary have been unfortunate to lose out in 6 finals but all that was changed in 2019.
Portroe impressed throughout the day and now 3 time player of the tournament, Darren Gleeson, pulled off miraculous saves to propel Portroe to All-Ireland glory.
This sparked great celebrations from the large travelling support and jovial weekend was capped off by the local club man, Liam Sheedy, guiding Tipperary to an All-Ireland title.
