Pairc De Burca Update

We would like to provide members with an update on Pairc De Burca. Back in May we completed the remaining work on the drainage facilities for the pitch.  In an ideal world, we would then have rested the pitch to allow grass growth to happen over the slitting work which was completed for long term drainage. This was clearly not possible as we had to use the pitch for the fun filled 4 weeks of the Mini All Irelands which were fantastic. Huge congratulations and thank you to everyone involved. The minis have become such a huge part of summertime in our Club and community.

The pitch will now undergo some further maintenance activity and then will be rested and irrigated to facilitate recovery and growth until mid July.  This should be an optimum time for grass growth.  We would ask all members to respect the pitch closure signs and stay off the pitch during this time to guarantee good recovery.
