A great night of memories in honour of the 1974 and 1976 Hurling Champions

The Hurling Section hosted a memorable night in Glenalbyn, to honour the heroes of 1974 and 1976. Wonderful music by the students of Coláiste Eoin and Coláiste Íosagáin, together with a great meal provided by Mick Kinsella and staff set the scene.

MC Tom Rock reminded attendees what was happening in the wider world 50 years ago, and brought back memories of both championship campaigns. Hurling Chair Vincent Peters spoke about the work of the Hurling Section and then presented the players of '74 and '76 with a memento in honour of their achievements.

You can see images of the presentations the the individual players here: https://kilmacudcrokes.com/club/hurling-champions-1974-and-1976-honoured

Captains John Mitchell and Mick Bermingham spoke on behalf of the teams, and there was much amusement and laughter, as memories of both championship campaigns were recalled!

Some images of the night can be seen below - and photos of the presentations to each player can be seen at the link above.
