Transition Coaching Course
The Kilmacud Crokes GAA Club Coaching Department are organising a Coaching Course for students in the Transition Year Programme. The course will be suited to students who have an interest in Sport or might be interested in a career in Sport or in Teaching.
Students will have to complete two modules of two hours per session outside of school hours in Kilmacud Crokes. Session one is theoretical dealing with the priorities and the principles of coaching children. Session Two is practical where we cover areas such as organisational hints, warm ups, skills, drills & games. It will also cover peer teaching where the students are assessed while they coach each other.
To get on to the course students must be members of Kilmacud Crokes GAA Club. Students must also complete the following:
* Two Coaching Course Modules (7th & 12th March)
* Three voluntary Coaching Sessions with a juvenile Team or at the nursery on Saturday mornings (will be arranged through Niall & Paraic)
The Course will be run over the following dates:
* Monday March 7th , Room 4, 6pm - 8pm
* Sat March 12th, Hurling Arena/Paddock, 10am -12pm

There is no charge for this course, but numbers are limited to 25.
